A separate Cell is functioning under an Assistant Commissioner of Police to check possession, use and sale of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. The Cell is at present working in the old and historic Police Station viz. Edapally Police Station building. Public is informed that the possession, use and sale of the above mentioned Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic substances are punishable under the NDPS Act 1986. Passengers travelling by flight/train/bus are cautioned not to accept any parcel/baggage from strangers under any circumstances and to report to the police immediately if they notice any abandoned or unattended baggage or parcel.
